The unit has 15 treatment rooms including a dedicated plaster room and an ophthalmology room, on-site X-ray during opening hours, and (uncommonly for an MIU) provides same-day reconstructive plastic-surgery cover for minor hand injuries. Children under 5 should go to the UHCW paediatric A&E.
